ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER, SPITALFIELDS

The role:

  • Support the Store Manager to ensure the seamless running of the store
  • In the Store Manager’s absence, manage all dispensing activities within the Spitalfields store
  • Be proactive in responding to recruitment needs in the store
  • Manage and work alongside the store optometrists and retail staff to provide impeccable lens and frame selection, fitting and customer service
  • Work alongside our glazing partners, excelling in lens selection
  • Develop, execute, and continuously improve operational activities to ensure the store exceeds financial and customer experience targets and maintains brand consistency
  • Develop and ensure procedures are followed to protect the company’s inventory and assets as well as all activities related to risk management and safety
  • Provide initial and frequent ongoing training and development for all team members, and contribute to written training manuals
  • Act as a representative for our brand to help educated and excite others about our mission and values
  • Demonstrate and continuously update exceptional product knowledge as well as accurately describing feature and benefits of various lenses and our frames to customers and potential customers

Ideal candidate:

  • Very well organised and an excellent manager of people
  • Demonstrates strong commercial awareness
  • Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills
  • Very detail orientated, with a real interest in how things look
  • Great at communicating clearly and effectively- in person, over the phone, and online
  • A self-starter with plenty of energy, and outstanding at working under your own initiative and under pressure

RETAIL ASSOCIATES, LONDON

We’re seeking Retail Associates to join our growing team, based at our workshops in London.

You will be reporting to the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager to help manage the retail activities within one of our stores.

Experience of working in fast-paced retail environment greatly preferred. Attitude, ambition and cultural fit are most important. Optical experience is a significant bonus.

Remuneration: £8.90 - £9.80 an hour, based on experience.


RESIDENT OPTOMETRISTS, WEEKENDS

We’re seeking part-time Optometrists for our three central London practices, providing outstanding clinical care, and the highest calibre of eye examinations to our patients.

We're specifically looking for candidates to work weekends - Saturdays and / or Sundays.

  • Passionate about eye health, and spectacles
  • Extremely well organised self starter with plenty of energy
  • Excellent under pressure and capable of juggling a diverse set of responsibilities
  • Great at communicating clearly and effectively

Qualifications:

  • BSc (Hons) Optometry from a leading institution
  • General Optical Council Registered

FRAME DESIGNERS AND MAKERS

We’re always seeking talented frame designers and makers to join our growing team. The following skills and experience are highly valued:

  • The ability to design a frame from scratch and / or experience of relevant CAD software packages such as Rhino and Solidworks
  • An interest in CNC engineering and 3D printing
  • Knowledge of spectacle making processes
  • Experience of using milling tables, routers
  • A profound love of spectacles
