A Celebration of British Craftsmanship
Our subterranean workshop and its team have achieved plenty in 2018, from countless beautiful bespoke frames to concept pieces made of human hair, recycled yoghurt pots, and Thames detritus.
The hard work of our spectacle making apprentice, Mila Chielman, has been captured in A Celebration of British Craftsmanship, a 240-page book that offers a glimpse into the oft-hidden world of England’s craftsmen and women. The proceeds from sales of the book will go on to support the next generation of craftspeople, like Mila, through the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust, be they milliners, luthiers or makers of the finest British armour.
