Pia Schiele’s Spectacle Waste Stools
London-based artist Pia Schiele took our waste acetate and turned them into some rather wonderful bits of furniture.
Pia used an array of acetate aperture offcuts, carefully arranged and cast in a soy resin, to create her colourful ‘pebble stools’.
To minimise the use of resin, the stool’s cores were made of wooden cores built from the waste wood offcuts of a local carpenter.
